Description rossmarch 2016-07-01 23:44:11 CDT
When installing Komplete 9 by Native Instruments the installer starts properly from the DVD rom. However, while the application is running and it tries to read the disc the installer states it cannot find the disc.

output of dosdevices
ls -la ~/.wine/dosdevices/
total 8

drwxr-xr-x 4 user users 4096 Jul 1 21:00 ..

winecfg shows that the D: drive is going to the same path as the symlink. Everyting is configured properly and should install from the DVD yet it doesn't. I have asked for assistance in #winehq on freenode and the only troubleshooting we could have done is for the drive paths, someone suggested this may be a bug so that's why I'm posting this here.

This issue was occurring on Antergos as well as Ubuntu 16.04. It doesn't seem OS specific but more wine specific. On Antergos the wine version was 1.19 and on Ubuntu the wine version is 1.6.2 so both of the Operating Systems are having the same bug.

In the bug report you state that wine version 1.9.13 was used, is that right or did you try only in 1.6.2? Because 1.6 series are no longer supported.

I used both, on Antergos I was using 1.19.13 on Ubuntu it's 1.6.2

Ah, OK. It is just that 1.19 does not exist, it is 1.9 so I was confused.

Okay sorry about that.
