Log of execution: wine eve.exe

Environment:
Xubuntu 13.10 x64 (3.11.0-15-generic)
wine-1.7.11 (binary package from ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa)

Game worked fine with wine 1.7.10. Today updated wine package to 1.7.11 and now game crashes after few seconds when game's window have been resized.

Please install the debug package for wine and get a new log, I believe it's called wine1.7-dbg. That should help giving a better backtrace, if that does not help you will need to perform a regression test:
http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting

Not major, read http://bugs.winehq.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#importance

Log of execution debug version of wine

I have to compile wine from source codes for make backtrace more verbose. New log file has been attached.

Having the same issue here.

lubuntu 13.04 x64 3.8.0-35-generic

Also know at least one person on arch having to downgrade to 1.7.10 due to the same problem.

Couple of days ago have done regression testing, and the commit that breaks it for me is f8e62bc5962bc71ed584fd35329aba180f5e9df3

Also ran debug with trace+d3d,+relay,+seh,+tid. The whole log is 2,4Gb, so can't really attach it. Did manage to find the place where it breaks though. Don't really know what to look for, so attaching the part from the last d3d trace to the seh exception

WINEDEBUG: the part where it breaks

WINEDEBUG=trace+d3d,+relay,+seh,+tid

The whole log is 2,4Gb so attaching it would be somewhat difficult

Also probably should note that I was bisectng only on dlls/wined3d

patch

Does the attached patch make it any better?
Comment 7 infine 2014-01-30 09:02:30 UTC
Yes. After applying the attached patch to the current git version, it's resize online all the way. Or at leat it works well enough that I'm unable to crash it anymore. Thank you very much.
Comment 8 Henri Verbeet 2014-01-30 14:40:32 UTC
Should be fixed by commit 82b38139eb21a6898e4621eb7405e99189c09b18.

Is bug 35448 the same as this? I can't test right now.

Sorry, don't have WoW, don't even have enough disk space for WoW right now.
If the reason you can't test is compiling, you could probably just run with only WINEDEBUG=trace+d3d. If the last d3d trace before it crashes says "Enumerating Resource blahblahblah", it probably is related.

Closing bugs fixed in 1.7.12.
