With a clean wine-prefix, winetricks -q ie7 fails
I ran a bisect, and found that:

5cf3c1f4a64a0c9ec2fe97e738819f2d894eee98 is the first bad commit

Reverting this patch fixes this problem.

Hello folks,

.NET Framework 4.0 is also affected by this (installer crashes).
Refining summary as multiple installers are affected by this.
