Description Jerome Leclanche 2012-11-29 23:59:25 UTC
Install steam. Open it in a fullscreen virtual desktop.

Drag it around. It's fast.

Drag it offscreen, it becomes really slow to drag around.

Parts of the window that are off-screen need to be repainted, so it's slower that just copying the bits. I'd expect it to be the same on Windows.
Comment 2 Jerome Leclanche 2012-11-30 11:11:53 UTC
This seems abnormally slow though, definitely not the same behaviour as on windows. As soon as it's even one pixel offscreen, if it's dragged back on screen it renders at 1 fps.

Looks fixed.
