Your video drivers aren't setup correctly, you should fix this or "expect problems".

Which version of powerpoint viewer? Does setting 'riched20' to native in winecfg help?

Solve the opengl problem. Was lacking the 32bit libs of the nvidia driver. Wine was supposed to use 32bit version of them on a 64 bit system?

Since wine is a 32-bit application, yes.

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends
to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.

Is this still an issue with 1.7.2 or higher ?

Vladimir, I'd like to try that, could you attach a sample pptx document that fails?
Comment 13 Nikolay Sivov 2014-01-02 11:34:21 UTC
It works just fine for me, Office14 PowerPoint Viewer with a document you linked to - animations work smoothly, slide transition works too. I'm running latest wine from git. It's possible that your packaged wine dependecies are messed up or something like that.

And you need to set riched20 as 'native' for this prefix. Let's wait for someone else to confirm but this is fixed or invalid imho.
Comment 14 Vladimir 2014-01-02 23:41:30 UTC
After restart it works! (?)
Checked with Lubuntu 13.10 and Xubuntu 13.10

Thanks Nikolay
