Description Dan Kegel 2011-03-10 11:42:39 UTC
The visual c++ 2005 trial installer now works, but
in the middle, it puts up a mysterious dialog box saying

1: 0 2: 1033 3: 4 5: 6: 7: 8: 9: 10:

When you press 'Retry', it succeeds.

Still in wine-1.3.26.

In wine-1.3.19, no matter press "Retry" or "Cancel" or even do nothing, the installation always success. However, the installation failed with wine version larger then 1.3.20 because of Bug 27987.

Sorry for misleading, both "Retry" and "Cancel" will continue the installation, but if no button is clicked the installation will keep waiting forever.

Hello folks,

can't reproduce this.

Prerequisite: 'winetricks -q mfc42' (for validating product id)

--- snip ---
err:module:import_dll Library MFC42.DLL (which is needed by L"C:\\users\\focht\\Temp\\SIT39549.tmp\\PIDGen.dll") not found
--- snip ---

Reopen if you manage to reproduce this with _recent_ Wine version.
Make sure you run with +tid,+seh,+process,+loaddll,+msgbox to pinpoint the process/executable.
Resolving 'fixed'.
