Description kalampakas dimi 2010-01-17 08:48:40 UTC
I can view the presentation in slide show without problem, but in normal view when paging down it never displays slides 2 or 3, though the page indicator and slide sorter show that it's on those pages.

I can confirm this in 1.1.36. Slide show view is fine, but the only slides that display on my system in normal view are 1, 4, 8, 12, 14, and 21. The rest of the slides just show the last displayable slide when paging down through them, i.e., slides 2 and 3 show the content of slide 1, slide 4 displays normally, but then stays onscreen through slides 5, 6, & 7, etc.

I tested the file in Windows XP, and it does not have this problem.

The problem appears to be related to the font used, Century Gothic, which is one of the fonts installed by Office itself. Changing the font to Arial solves the problem. Why, I have no idea. The slides that displayed properly all along were also originally in Century Gothic. I also tried creating a test presentation using that font, and Powerpoint 2007 had no problem with it.

I'm not posting console output because it's the same regardless of what font was used, though I'll be happy to if anyone wants it. It's mostly a bunch of fixme:ole:snapshot_QueryGetData messages.

Still an issue in 1.3.10, and also affects Powerpoint 2010.
Comment 6 Rosanne DiMesio 2011-11-05 09:01:57 UTC
Still present in 1.3.32. Also affects Powerpoint 2010.
Comment 7 Austin English 2013-11-13 16:51:23 UTC
This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.6 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.6 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).
Comment 8 Rosanne DiMesio 2013-11-13 20:02:17 UTC
Not sure when it was actually fixed, but it's fine in 1.7.6.
Comment 9 Alexandre Julliard 2013-11-22 12:50:32 UTC
Closing bugs fixed in 1.7.7.
