wine-consol-log

Every time I start the server (RaceDedicatedServer_Steam 1.2.0.1) online it's crach with minidump of 1Mb file. If I start server on my lan it's no problem at all. I can play on it from another computer and change tracks and every else too do.
I have tried the test-wine and even the stable wine since begining of this year (2009) with the same result, and even update of steam has been done under that period.
My only intrest is to drive race07 as server on my linux-box, but on internet offcourse.
There is no differnt in the log betveen wan or lan, and I have no idea of wath's wrong.

This problem is not limited to Race 07 alone ; many (if not all) of the associated SimBin titles (on Steam) behave the same way. I have found this issue apparent in the Steam releases of Race 07, Race On, GTR Evolution, WTCC - The Game, STCC & STCC 2, RaceRoom Online etc etc..

I should have noted that wrt RaceRoom Online, there is no 'offline' play and thus it doesn't run at all (fails online startup due to the same issue I believe)

Still present in Wine 1.7.9 and can be reproduced with the free Race On DEMO-Dedicated Server application, available on Steam.

Wine doesn't produce any backtrace when the server crashes, but a mindiump file is saved in ~/SimBin/RaceON-DEMO/Minidump. If I load the file in winedbg I receive the following backtrace:

Backtrace:

Please attach a +winsock, this may be a duplicate of that other bug related to the Volvo game. It seems to be same symptoms of passing NULL as the address to connect.

Thanks for the log. The issue is really the same but it does not seem related to the original issue. I'm downloading the demo to test myself and update the bug as appropriate.
Comment 11 Bruno Jesus 2013-12-23 19:42:29 UTC
The original issue in this bug seems to be fixed, although it now depends on bug 34971. When I get that bug fixed I'll solve this one too.
Comment 12 Bruno Jesus 2014-01-01 11:57:32 UTC
Working fine now.
Comment 13 Alexandre Julliard 2014-01-03 13:09:44 UTC
Closing bugs fixed in 1.7.10.
