Install foobar2000 and the facets plugin (http://foobar2000.audiohq.de/foo_facets/)

Enable layout editing mode  (View->Layout->Enable Editing Mode)

right-click in the UI to add the facets UI element (right click, then select "Replace UI element" in the popup menu, then select Facets in the UI element list).

Now right-click in the newly added Facets component to display it's popup menu.
Select "Facet View" in this menu and it'll make foobar2000 crash.

The crash happens in MENU_HideSubPopups() from user32/menu.c. In this function the MENU_GetMenu() return a NULL pointer hence the subsequent crash.

Confirming in wine 0.9.57.

I still see this behavior with 1.0-rc2.

Using Ubuntu 8.04, Gnome, foobar2000 0.9.5.3 beta 2 and foo_facets 2008-02-25

In 1.2-rc3, when I right click and try to choose Facet view, the popup menu closes. It is unselectable. Doesn't crash though..

confirming, still present.
Clicking "facets pane" does nothing - though there is not crash, correcting summary.

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends
to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.

Is this still an issue with 1.7.8 or higher ?
