No need for all those screenshots. 1 showing the problem (and if possible, one showing the way it looks in windows) is sufficient.

Does the demo have the same problem?
Comment 9 Gilboa Davara 2008-02-24 00:17:07 UTC
I'm seeing the same skin problems in Fifa08 demos.
(0.9.56, Fedora, x86_64)

Comment 12 Lei Zhang 2008-05-17 15:07:44 UTC
confirming then.
Comment 13 skoruppa 2008-05-30 15:47:42 UTC
Ok confirmed. Some progress? This white shadows are really annoying.
Comment 14 Austin English 2008-11-28 00:00:19 UTC
Please retest in 1.1.9.

I can confirm this, tested on Ubuntu Intrepid 64bit, Ubuntu Jaunty Alpha/Beta 64bit and with various NVidia 18x.xx drivers. It is still ugly in Wine 1.1.17 with NVidia 185.13.

My console output of wine differs a bit, maybe a fix created a new bug or not all features are implemented correctly or just fifa needs some more workarounds.

terminal output for: wine Fifa 08.exe:

 fixme:d3d9:D3DPERF_SetMarker (color 0xffffffff, name L"Binding Vertex Shader: GouraudApt[0]") : stub
fixme:d3d9:D3DPERF_SetMarker (color 0xffffffff, name L"Binding Vertex Shader: TextureApt[0]") : stub

(tons of them).

My graphic card actually is a onboard 7150 with 256 shared ddr2, but today i will upgrade to a 8600gts 512mb, but i think this is not a bug occaring on special hardware, but a dx9 implementation bug.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to provide further informations.
Comment 17 Austin English 2010-08-05 07:50:47 UTC
Still in wine-1.3.0-167-g65d1c99.
Comment 18 Dan Kegel 2010-08-05 09:20:57 UTC
The D3DPERF_SetMarker FIXME is probably benign, I think that's just a marker
for use when using profiling tools.
Comment 19 joaopa 2011-08-03 14:19:20 UTC
still a bug in current wine?
Comment 20 Andrey Gusev 2013-07-22 12:21:35 UTC
I just can to confirm, that skins are normal now on 1.6. But these strings are present in a terminal:

fixme:d3d9:D3DPERF_SetMarker (color 0xffffffff, name L"Binding Vertex Shader: GouraudApt[0]") : stub
fixme:d3d9:D3DPERF_SetMarker (color 0xffffffff, name L"Binding Vertex Shader: TextureApt[0]") : stub

Assuming fixed as per last comment. If anyone is still able to reproduce feel free to reopen.
Comment 22 Alexandre Julliard 2014-02-07 13:06:59 UTC
Closing bugs fixed in 1.7.12.
